With the reinforced sidewalls on run-flat tires, it’s possible to drive upwards of 50 miles at no more than 50 MPH when deflated. However, driving far can damage the tire beyond repair.


    As long as there is no sidewall damage, run-flat tires may be repairable. However, even some damage outside the sidewall can ruin a run-flat tire beyond repair.


    What run-flat tires deliver in safety, can be lost in comfort. Overall, run-flat tires can deliver a stiffer, less comfortable ride. Additionally, they can create more noise inside the vehicle.


    Some sizes and tread options for passenger vehicles are not easily available and may require special orders.
